Like all new shoes you need to wear in your maseur® sandals.

They lasted a year...
...which is much better than the previous normal Maseur sandals that I had (and prefer), which only lasted about a month. The same thing happened with the replacement pair of normal Maseur sandals, so I was forced to get some of these "gentle" ones, They lasted exactly 12 months until one of the straps broke.

Cork Soles
I have been wearing the gentle type of sandals, daily, for over 20 years, but in recent years the cork sole starts to disintegrate within weeks. I took a new pair on a two week holiday with me. Wore them daily from day two and by the time my holiday was over the cork had already started breaking up. This has happened with every pair I have bought since the cork ones appeared on the market. Otherwise, they are comfortable to wear, if not stylish! I tried to include a photograph but unable to do so under 2 “Add Images”!

Edges of Sandals peeling/breaking off.
I recently purchased a pair of Massage Sandals and have only worn them possible 4 times and have noticed that the 'cork' edges around the sandals is peeling/breaking off in at least 5 spots.

Cork soles peel off less than 12 maths old
I have been a long time user of the smooth sole masseur sandle. Not anymore the cork is peeling off and these are less than 12 months old. So disappointed in the product quality. Additionally I can't even up load photo to show the the peeling sole.

Maseur sandles
I have worn these sandles for 20 plus years and this new strap design is hopeless. They used to last me a year or more on one pair and now they don’t last 6 mths . Love maseur sandles but not anymore

Good shoes but......
Good shoes and very great but the strap breaks off the shoes very easily. The design before this one lasted very long strap wise only reason I got a new pair is the sole was well worn
